About the Mitsubishi Pajero

The Mitsubishi Pajero is a sport utility vehicle manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors. It was named after Leopardus pajeros, the Pampas cat which is local to the Patagonia plateau region of southern Argentina. Unfortunately, since pajero is an offensive term for "wanker" in alternative, Spanish names have been utilized for many markets overseas. It is recognized once the Mitsubishi Montero (meaning "mountain huntsman") in India, The country of spain, and the Americas (excepting Brazil), and once the Mitsubishi Shogun in the United Kingdom. In Japan, it was sold at a specific retail chain called Car Plaza. Discontinued in the United States in 2006, the car continues to be sold in the rest of the world in its fourth-generation iteration.

More about the Mitsubishi Pajero

Mitsubishi sold over three hundred thousand Pajeros from 1979 to 1990. The abruptly wheelbase model is not available in North America, where the Montero is the one SUV in Mitsubishi's lineup with standard four-wheel drive.
